What is LRS3 nonstick coating? Is it toxic?
I am in the cookware sales business and would like to know the truth.
I’m looking for more information, but LRS3 appears to be just a trade name for one company’s application of Teflon(R) to their cookware. Teflon has been a topic of conversation in regard to its safety. Teflon, itself has not been proven to be harmful. However, a key chemical used in its manufacturing process is perfluorooctanoic acid, which has been considered to be carcinogenic and may cause birth defects. It is important to note that perfluorooctanoic acid is NOT found in Teflon(R).
