Lost please HELP?
i told my mom i wanted a decent set of cookware for christmas. Im having such a hard time deciding what to get. Im looking for something i can fry and saute’ and all that stuff but i dont want my food to stick to the bottom of the pans/pots. But also i dont want them to be heavy and rust and scratch. I was looking at the rachael reay line and i noticed she also has porcelain whats better out of all of them. Please help.
Heavy weight aluminum non-stick pans work rather well if you are careful and only use plastic or wood utencils. The Calphalon nonstick is nice but you can find similar items at Costco, BJs and Sams Club for about half the price. Most of my pans came in a set came from Costco with a few Calphalon pieces to fill in some holes, quality is about the same. Look for all metal handles or metal handles with removeable grips so they can go in the oven.
The addition of a heavy cast iron skillet for steaks and oven use can be very useful. Yea they rust but for some things it’s the right tool.
Personally I’m not a big fan of stainless, it’s tough and lasts forever but food sticks and it’s hard to clean.
